As part of Washington State’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” plan for reopening businesses, portrait photography will be included in “Phase 2” of the plan! “Phase 2” is scheduled to start on June 1. In anticipation of the date, I’m now scheduling shoots for the month of June and thereafter. Read more below to see how I plan to keep us all safe and healthy while still having a fun time making some memorable images. If you’d like to set up a shoot, use the contact form below to drop me a note!
How it works
The state guidelines of course specify the precautions that we (both me, the photographer, and you, the client) need to adhere to in order to do our parts for ensuring we have a healthy and safe shoot. The good news is that Patrick with the Camera is already doing quite a bit of this, so your experience really shouldn’t be all that different than what you’s get from me in “normal” times.
- Any pre-shoot meetings are now virtual. I use Google Meet. There’s no app you need to install, no account you need to sign up for… I send you a link, and we’re having a video chat! Super simple.
- All my shoots are now outdoors. Really, not a huge change here since I was shooting about 90% outdoors beforehand. And “outdoors” can be as close to home as your front porch or as remote as one of our gorgeous state parks (which, thankfully, have been reopened for day use!)
- Individuals and household groups are fine, but larger groups are still restricted at present.
- Let’s not meet up if we’re sick, please! I know this one probably goes without saying, but we can always reschedule a shoot. Your health and well-being are just as important to me as my own are to me. If you’ve got any of the symptoms of a cold, the flu, or covid, we’ll get together when we’re all well. Besides, you’ll look your best when you’re feeling your best!
For any other shoot-specific items we need to address, we can discuss these in our pre-shoot meeting. So, get in touch with me, and let’s line up a fun shoot! 😀
